The Uzkoye lake

The nature monument is located within the boundaries of the municipal area "Pozherivitskaya volost" in the Dedovichi district.

A unique, irreplaceable, distinctive, hilly-morainic landscape, a habitat for waterfowl and waterbirds with a rich and unique vegetation, which has a scientific and aesthetic value.

The floral complex of the nature monument Lake Uzkoye (Petrovskoye) is formed by water-, coastal-water, and meadow and forest higher plants growing within the protected zone. It includes 294 species, 177 genera and 66 families. Of the identified terrestrial vertebral species the most interesting are such as the Great Bittern and the Eurasian Water Shrew.

The area of the natural monument is 247.4 hectares.

It was declared a specially protected natural area of regional importance in 2007.
